Mustangs started production in 1965. The two steated Thunderbirds were declining in sales. So Ford designed a four seated sports car which started production in 1965. This new sports car was affordable for everyone at the time. It was first availble in coupe or convertible forms. It sold a lot more cars in its deput than the Chevy Camaro. There are over 30 different kinds of Mustangs but some notable ones are the Mustang GT, Cobra, Saleen, Shelby, and just normal V8's and V6's mustangs. The Ford Mustang is the most popular muscle car since 1965. It crushs its competiton which is Dodge Challenger and the Chevy Camaro. The Ford Mustangs have affordability and quality has been the best for 35 years and with releasing new models in 2010 it seems like they will beat the competiton again.
